area there is also massive amounts of great off piste skiing and ski touring. Much of
this can be reached by skiing from the lift stations. Beginner or expert, the Arlberg
offers splendid skiing for all grades of skiers.
This guide-book includes a total of 47 ski touring routes with 66 downhill runs,
which can be found all around the Arlberg. These routes are crowd free and generally
sparsely tracked. Also included are some 156 pictures with the routes clearly
marked upon them.
All these routes, including ascents, can be reached without special ski-touring equipment!
(like skins or touring binding).
Safety equipment like shovel, probe and avalanche beacon must be carried by every
skier! The sum total of the routes in this book exceeds 300 kilometers of off piste
terrain
